Benefits of Direct selling
With a background in manufacturing severing a global customer base I was determined to start Heather Hill Farm with a resilient sales model. With the ever volatile prices of inputs and the uncertainty of markets farmers are selling their produce into, Stress and financial risk runs very high. If you have been thinking about moving some or all of your sales to a direct market model the benefits I have found can be many. It requires a mind shift from focusing on produce more more more to producing based on profitability. Selling direct to the end customer has meant I can produce significantly less produce while maintaining the same profit. This frees up a substantial amount of time which compensates for the effort of building the link to customers in the beginning.
Training runs June 10th from 9am-5pm, there will be a farm tour and lunch provided as well as tea and coffee throughout the day. The training is split between classroom and hands on, so bring materials for taking notes as well as boots and wet gear in case of poor weather.
Farm location, Heather Hill Farm, Brenter, Dunkineely, Co. Donegal F94RW98
Training Cost: €100
